Trivia Night

$0.00

1.    What was the name of the policing agency that patrolled the local mining in our area?

2.    What catastrophic event occurred in 1918 in the town of Oakdale?

3.    What log cabin in North Fayette township is registered with the Pgh. History and Landmark Foundation?

4.    What local church was built on the site of a former fort?

The term pub quiz is used by some, but it’s more commonly known in the US as “bar trivia.”  It gives us a feel-good moment for all to put all this “useless knowledge” to use.

So, how did you do with the trivia questions above? To discover the answers to these questions, as well as many more interesting facts, we invite you to join us on Wednesday, November 5th at 6:30 p.m. at the Western Allegheny Community Library. This is a great opportunity to test just how well you really know our local area and its rich history.

While we can’t promise the lively atmosphere of a typical “pub or bar trivia” night, we do guarantee an enjoyable and engaging evening filled with plenty of trivia fun.

The event is completely FREE to attend, though donations are always appreciated to help support our activities. You can easily register ahead of time on our website at www.wahistoricalsociety.com. Fresh Kettle Corn will be available for purchase. Bring your own snacks and/or non-alcoholic beverages.

We also encourage you to arrive a little early to take some time to explore the fascinating local displays in History Hall before the trivia begins.
